Restoring Z10 contents

Hi guys,


I did a full backup of my Z10 before it went in for repairs. Ive just received a replacement Z10 and am batteling to do a restore onto this new phone using my link software

The error i get is: "the backup file isnt compatible with the version of device software you are currently running, update your device software and try again"

Ive checked and i do have the latest version of software and still no luck in restoring my contents

Your restored device is likely loaded with a lower OS release than that which the backup was made with.

You cannot restore a higher OS backup to a lower OS device.


If you recall the OS your device made the backup with, upgrade to that. Do you recall?


What is the OS in the device you have in-hand, Settings > About?

Thank you for the reply, i have taken the phone to a blackberry support team who has resolved this for me
