Screen has "permanent smudges" Z10

[ Edited ]

I have been using my Z10 for about 3 weeks now and I noticed smudges that simply would not go away. I'm not sure but I am guessing it is on the capacitive screen, the part that senses your touch gestures. Anyway, there are ovals all over the place that look like impurities. Some are a few millimetres in diameter while some are a centimetre.

I had a ROGERS representative wipe my screen with a high quality microfiber cloth and it seemed to go away, that is when I took it into a different light and the "ovals" reappeared all at the same place. I am starting to think they are under the screen and become more obvious when smudge on top accumulates.

I had asked if the representative had ever seen this problem, he said no.

This is a factory unlocked phone that never went through a carrier.

Please help me.

I should also add that I noticed it only a few days after using it.

I have a small smudge also that has appeared at the top of my screen (mostly on the bezel). It seems to go away temporarily when I wipe it. It's not really a big deal as it is right now, but I wonder how common this is?
