Security Wipe Error

Hi All,

Just purcahsed a 2nd hand Z10 and the guy didnt wipe the BB for me, so i went into settings and typed in blackberry to wipe all the data.
Gave it a few minuets and the below picture appeared. Can someone please assist as to why this is doing it?

It is actually wiping and restoring the phone to factory setting, it may take some time to complete the whole process so be patient


BTW. it does so in order to completely destroy any chance of recovering any previous data

Yep, that is basically the "shredding data" icon... wiping.


According the amount of data ON the device, it can take an hour (or more).
