Software update and phone won't switch on

Hi, I just updated my BB Z10, let the phone restart and now it won't get past the BB part of setup, showing 100%. I have tried taking my battery out and it still doesn't start up. Any ideas? Fiona

Welcome to the support community!

Was the software update interupted at all? Was it a wireless update?
Could you please try connecting to a power source and try removing and reinserting the battery again? When you do this, is there any change? Do you see any LED light on the BlackBerry Z10 smartphone?

Hi, Last time the problem seemed to solve itself, but I have done another update through the computer (Blackberry Link) and the Z10 won't get past the start-up screen again. If I connect to power source and take out, and reinsert, the battery, it does the power up screen (to 100%) then sticks again. I am not sure the update fully went through the phone either, according to BB Link. Any ideas why it does this, and will it start up again? Thanks

Can you do some kind of hard reset of the handset at all?

Tried many kinds of resets and nothing worked. However, 5 hours later the phone switched itself back on and now 8 hours later is working normal. I think BB should warn people their updates may make their phone out of action for some time...
