Updating contacts from a handicapped Z10.

I am a hard core BB user that has owned most models since BB came into the market. I've have had some phone falls and never had a damaged part, including the screen. My 5 day old Z10 fell flat to the floor from a very short distance and the screen got broken. It is inoperable except through Bluetooth. I had it backed up through Link but I do not know if my contacts and calendar are backed up. Besides being very dissapointed for buying a fragile phone, I may be facing loosing recent calendar and contact entries bacause I did not have enough time to do an Outlook.com sync or a SIM card backup.  Can someone confirm if the backup saves these so I can reload them into a new unit that I am expecting through Insurance?  If not, how can I back up under the current status. Thanks.
