Using blackberry with car stereo

I have a after market car stereo, it is compatible with usb however when i plug my phone into it, it says unable to read?  what a i doing wrong, as well if i am able to sort out this problem, can i then  answer my phone and have it run through my stereo?

You might want to look into an FM transmitter such as the Belkin Blackberry Z10, Q10 TuneCast FM Transmitter.
