Skype can be downloaded from BlackBerry World, as long as you are running OS10.1.
Viber has not yet made an app for BB10.
(This is not under BlackBerry's control.)

I put another post in the playbook area which I haven't had a response too yet but are you aware of how to be able to open EXE files & AVI files?
I have a video which is an AVI file that I trasfered from my computer to my playbook. when I attempt to open it it says MediaError This file type isn't supported.
the same sort of thing keeps having with certain things Im downloading that come up as EXE files on my Z10 & Playbook.
Can you direct me to the correct are to look into this more.
First, EXE files of any kind cannot be run on a Playbook. These executable files are meant for Windows based PC's only.
AVI files can usually be played on the Playbook. DRM-protected files (ones purchased from particular online sources) cannot be played. The audio/video encoding can cause a problem as well -- too high a frame rate, for example.

Okay so I attempted to download skype through blackberry world and what comes up is an Internal Server Error
An internal server error has been detected. please try your operation again(EC)
This is the same error message that its been coming up with.
Does anyone know what this means and what I need to do ?
I have an importatn overseas phonecall to make tomorrw and really needed skype for it...
Did the Skype download appear to go smoothly -- no error messages at downloading?
Did you accept the requested permissions when it installed?
If yes to both of the above, I'd suggest doing a reset. Press and hold both the up & down volume rockers on the top right side of your device until the screen goes black, powers on again, and you see the startup animation begin. Ignore the popup that says a screen shot has been taken. Allow the device a couple of minutes after the home screen appears, then try Skype again.
Hope this helps. Good luck.
