Went dead and don't want to switch on again

We bought z10's less than a week ago yesterday my husband's phone went dead and don't want to switch on again he took out the battery and put it back in nothing

what could be the problem?

Is there no indication of life at all? No red led when turning it on, etc?

 

What happens if you pull the battery for 5 minutes, put the battery back in, plug it into the supplied charger then let it sit for 5 more minutes and then after all of that finally push the button on the top of the phone for a moment to see if it comes alive?

No light of any color the battery and sim was out for half and hour and it was on charge for longer its totally dead

I'd take it back to where it was bought and seek an exchange. Smiley Happy
