The "On/Off" switch is disabled. I didn't notice this before. Should I contact my carrier and ask them to turn it on?
Contact them, I don't know why it can't be turned On.

IMS will connect on my t-mo phone if I am using wifi-calling or if I have VoLTE (voice over LTE, which T-Mo has started using). With wifi-calling IMS comes on, but the on/off switch is greyed out. The switch is supposed to be "not grayed out" when VoLTE is available. Ordinarily -- for data and voice -- you do NOT need IMS turned on.
