Did you install any new applications lately? Also were all the BBM contacts on there before? Try restarting the BlackBerry Z10 and then try to access BBM and re-invite the users.

Never have to pull the battery. You have two options, press and hold the power on button for 10-15 seconds, this will hard reset your phone, or press and hold volume up and down buttons simultaneously and it will hard reset the phone.
