Re: Z10 Tips, Tricks and Shortcuts

I have tried many android apps and most times they work! Skype works fine! I have even tried an andriod tweaker app and not sure but I think it helped some. I just dont use all of the functions in the tweaker as they warn some are not advisable if you dont know what you are doing.

Thanks.

Austin

Fast charging

[ Edited ]

I was finally able to charge my z10 as fast as 100 minutes zero to full charge (one 1% battery per minute).

The trick was to use a very short (10cm)  USB cable. The cable allows the Z10 to pull 1.3 Amper of charging current.

Stock Blackberry supplied cables did only do 0.85 Amper with the same charger.

I have tested Kanex ClipOn Micro USB to USB for Smartphones and Nokia CA-101D cables, they both are very short.

You need a charger that is capable of supplying up to 2Amper, of course.

Re: Z10 Tips, Tricks and Shortcuts

I use a BlackBerry battery charger that came with a spare battery. This means I don't have to worry about how long it takes since it is always ready when I need it. Very convenient!

Re: Z10 Tips, Tricks and Shortcuts

Oh... and the cost of this very slim charging unit is not much more than the cost of a battery. It’s a great deal!
