Z10 drops BB network twice per day

I'm on Rogers, but don't know if it's a carrier thing or not. My BB Z10 icon is dropping at least twice a day, and my phone gets really warm when it happens. Then it shuts off. I need to do a battery pull to get it alive again.

Any thoughts? Anyone else experiencing this issue?

Did you use your  SIM card in a previous BlackBerry smartphone? If so, did you ever experience similar issues?

The BB icon in top right corner goes missing and then phone starts to get nice and warm. This happens without me notifcing until I go into BBM or something and then see that I can't send messages. The SIM is a new one provided by Rogers when I got the phone.

My phone is doing the exact same thing.  I posted about it yesterday but have had no response.

Actually there is now a response to my post...check with Rogers.

I called and they asked me to go to Settings, About, Choose network from category drop down and then hit 3 dots menu and register. Then pull battery. They issue request from their side to device. 

 

Is that the fix you got too?

Not quite...the person I spoke with had me turn my phone off, then he said did something (he kind of mumbled so I didn't quite catch it, but I think he said he was registering my phone with the network).  It seems to be OK now..  Good to know that you can do this on your own from the phone.

New news... my phone just dropped BB network again. Not good. I hope this is a known issue. I'd rather it be that or I will have to take phone back.

Yes, mine has done it several times since I spoke with Rogers.  Rogers tech support believes it's the phone -  I will be taking this phone back and getting a new one.

I am on Telus and I keep losing the network. It always happens at the most inopportune times. But eventually I notice that I have not received calls and my emails haven't sent.

 

I simply go turn airplane mode on, then off and I get back on to the network.
