Z10 email synch

Hi,

I recently switched from BB 9900 to Z10 and my emails on hotmail, gmail and biz gmail have delay and for example on Bold when i was deleting my emails device asked on handheld or both and how can i do the same on z10? thanks

I think you have at least 2 questions mixed up there...hopefully I'll be able to parse them correctly...

With legacy devices, BIS functioned as an intermediary, and could PUSH real-time whenever the email server could support that. With BB10, BIS is abandoned and the on device client can use PUSH if the email server supports it, but only if you've activated it in the Settings > Accounts screens. If PUSH is not supported and/or you have not activated it, then the interval setting controls how often email is retrieved from your server. This is WAD -- Working As Designed.

You cannot...that setting does not presently exist. At present, the device and your server are designed to be mirror images of each other (within the Email Sync timeframe you set within Account > Settings)...do something on one and it reflects to the other. This, too, is WAD.

We are all hopeful that future OS releases will improve on things such as this. But, for now, it is what it is.
