This has been an ongoing problem for about 2 months, I had hoped that the upgrade to 10.2 would fix this issue but no it hasn't. Passwords drop multiple times a day. These include Yahoo accounts and Sentex accounts so it's highly unlikely to be related to the email server or service.
This is beyond frustrating...

I had this problem with my Yahoo email account. (See other forum entries).
The solution which worked for me was to change the Yahoo email password.
I discovered that Yahoo had changed the password requirements, so it didn't like my existing password anymore.
After I created a new password according to Yahoo's new requirements, I haven't had any further problems with the device dropping the password.
