Re: cannot access address book

In your video, when you FIRST open the contacts list, you immediately have the EDIT button at the bottom of the screen where I normally have the SEARCH button.

How are you contacts entered, manually or synced from a source as gmail or outlook?

Re: cannot access address book

I also used to get the search button first and can see all the contacts. After opening any contact , it is happening like this. some times it works fine.

Contacts i synced from outlook.

Re: cannot access address book

Try a Do a simple reboot on the BlackBerry in this manner: With the BlackBerry device POWERED ON, remove the battery for a minute, and then reinsert the battery to reboot.

Now check your Address Book again.

Re: cannot access address book

if i restart it works, but again the same problem occurs when i open the address book.  because of this issue daily i m restarting the BB more than 10 times.(hard reboot is not required, turn off and turn on will solve the problem).

I need a permanent solution for this.

Re: cannot access address book

Have you tried a HARD reboot as I asked, not a soft restart?

Re: cannot access address book

I see a few options for you.

  • Backup, wipe and restore your Z10 to factory condition.
  • Use a third party app like "Contact X" or "InTouchApp Contacts" to backup, wipe your address book and restore.
