difference between prompt and on in data service

Hello all,

new user of the Z10, its working fine, I just had a little issue/question. What is the difference between data service being on vs. prompt while roaming? I usually use the wifi, but often on prompt mode, I can not acquire internet connection, even though I have data service and a full G of download available.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Cheers,

Re: difference between prompt and on in data service

Prompt while roaming will make sure the phone asks you if it is OK to use another carrier's data service. I.e. You are on a Canadian provider and go to a city close to the border. You probably don't want your device to flop to a US carrier and pay the massive roaming charges. Smiley Wink

Make sense?

For any data issues, contact your carriers support team. Smiley Happy
