email cache

I am running OS 10.1.0.4181

I did a wipe of my phone and reinstalled the POP email.

Now I notice that the phone is has an email cache of email addresses listed on other emails (that are not in my address book), that come up when i go to address an email.

How do I get rid of these cached email addresses?

Re: email cache

Those are suggested email addresses collected from emails you've received.

I don't know of a way to turn those off.

Re: email cache

Yes. The addresses, however, are not ones I directly received messages from. Some are cc'd addresses on group emails. There are addresses I would never, ever use. I'd like to clear them out.

Yep, I don't know how to clear that.

Let me ask around.

Re: email cache

Hi,

there are a few applications on BB App World that can do that, search for "cache".

But as soon as You get a new E-Mail, the E-Mail Adress of a sender, if you don´t have it in Contacts, is going to be saved in cache.

Best regards.

Re: email cache

Milan90, as stated previously in this thread, there is currently no way to remove those cached email addresses.

Your suggetion of apps to ADD them to your contacts, is not what the user is asking for. Just the opposite.

The issue is resolved in the coming OS version 10.3.1, option to remove those is included.
