You are missin the point. You dont need to open the BB world to go into games.
The games icon is on your homescreen. Exit the BB World and click on the Games icon.

Have you been able to open blackberry world from the games app??

Another way is
Go to the Music icon on your homescreen. Tap the three dots and selet blackberry world. Go to My World and them My Apps and Check for updates and download any updates you have. After this, the app world should function normally. You need not proceed to step 2 if this resolves your
