mass storage and Linux 3.9

Accessing the media card through USB has never been a problem. Suddenly with the Linux 3.9 kernel, I can't access it anymore. I get this error:

Jul 06 19:43:52 abc kernel: usb 2-1.1: new full-speed USB device number 8 using ehci-pci
Jul 06 19:43:52 abc kernel: hub 2-1:1.0: unable to enumerate USB device on port 1

Any ideas?

I tried different version from 3.9.3 until 3.9.9, and I get the same problem everywhere.

Re: mass storage and Linux 3.9

Fixed. Used a charger cable instead of a data cable. Interestingly, the phone remembered that, so I had to reboot it as well.

The steps to fix this problem:

1) reboot computer

2) reboot phone

3) use data cable instead of charger cable
