memory card problem

My phone has been working fine and loading everything correctly until earlier today. Nothing triggered it, but for some reason when I went to view the pictures on my memory card they weren't there. When I go into settings and have a look in the memory card itself, it says there's no photographs on it, even though I didn't delete them. I put it in a BB7 device and it said the memory card was faulty, did I want to fix it, but the fix failed. When I go into my pictures folder it says it's indexing the pictures from my memory catd but never does. I've tried rebooting, taking the card out and wiping it, I've updated the OS, but nothing has worked. Is there a way of fixing it without formating it, as I jave a lot of stuff on it I need to save?

Re: memory card problem

for the media card you might have to try recovery software on a PC to get the info off the card, plenty of free ones to do this on the web

many electronic stores carry USB to SD adapters like best buy, radio shack maybe even walmart

lists a few recovery software places

Re: memory card problem

Thanks, I'll try that. Do think the card itself is buggered then and I'll need a new one?
