I would postulate differently. All computing devices suffer from memory leaks. All computing devices are comprised of hardware and software, which was designed and built by humans; perfection simply cannot be attained. The first release of all computing devices has always been fraught with more problems that later releases. Rebooting has always been a healthy procedure for all computing devices.
The hope was that the requirement for rebooting was lessened with BB10...but I, for one, never expected it to be eliminated.
Occam's Razor nearly always applies when troubleshooting technology issues!
