no notification (whatsapp, sms, email)

hey guys!

my Z10 is driving me nuts since 2 days. I dont get any notifications at all. I have to open whatsapp to receive new messages (no alert, no led). same with text messages. I have to tap on a contact I have recently chatted with to check if they've sent me a text message which means I'm not getting any sms from people I haven't chatted with. I checked the notification settings and so on. the weird thing is: when I do a battery pull it works fine for the next hour but after that I get the same issues again. I even did reset to factory settings but did not help. does anybody have an idea? thank you very much, xx from Switzerland Smiley Happy

Are you neither seeing any of these SMS, WhatsApp or email messages in your Hub?

Please open your Hub and touch the lower right three dots overflow icon.

Touch Settings

Touch Hub Management.

Now, in that list of your email, messaging, and Social Applications -- are they all enabled ON ??

yes they are. everything ON except Facebook 'cause I dont use it that often.

ok.

 

But NONE of your email, SMS, BBM, WhatsApp mesages are in the Hub?

If you are in the Hub and touch the tab for Text Messages, none of them are present?

Here's what you should do next...

 

  • Open your Settings (swipe down from the top bezel > Settings > Accounts.
  • In each of those accounts for your email, WhatsApp, etc., delete the account already setup
  • Restart the device (touch the top edge power button and hold for three seconds)
  • After the restart, setup those same accounts again.

okay..for some reasons it worked yesterday evening. since this morning it has the same problems again. I just tried what you said but nothing has changed.
