I've been experiencing the reboots since day one.

They seem to occur about every 10-15 hours

I've tried with device set to each different wireless setting, with and without wifi

I've reformatted media card

I've removed most apps, only app I have been using and the reboot occurs is the FB app

I've removed the TMO added bloatware

 

so far haven't really been able to narrow down the cause of the (crash) reboot

Turned off Encryption and the files moved just fine.

 

Still does not explain the restarts. I have factory wiped with no apps - still rebooted. Formatted the SD Card - still rebooted. 

 

This is simply another nail in the coffin for BB as far as I am concerned. Reboots for no reason - completely making the use of the PB irrelevant as the Bridge is now less than useless, piss poor battery life (that is EVEN with the battery savings solutions used), difficulty in navigating to some functions (3 steps as opposed to one single) 

 

This needs to be addressed - otherwise I will be escalating this through the media.....

Hell yes does not begin to cover how frustrating it is.... Sorry I am ranting butbefore I got the Z10 - I had the 9860 and the buttons died on me. I am a BB user through and through and defend it against the iFanbois and Driodheads..... but it is difficult to do so when the litany of indictments of short comings becomes too much to bear.

BB needs to figure this out right quick as it is completely unacceptable to have the restart for no reason.

Hi,

 

same problem here:

 

New Z10, STL100-2, 10.0.10.99 - no additional apps installed. Random Reboots the whole day. Is there any statement from Blackberry to this issue?!

@ TorqueMonster, I'd really encourage you (if you want this resolved) to escalate this issue through Bell to BlackBerry technical support. That is the official support route for you. Use it.

Hi again,

 

i wiped my device now and let it on default settings. I configured no email accounts at the moment, i suggest maybe my Office365 Exchange Account and the Active Sync Integration on the Z10 is the problem.

 

Anyone using an MS Exchange ActiveSync Account in here?

@JSanders - the conversation went like this with Bell:

 

Bell: Hey glad you got the new Z10.how can we help.

Me: This phone is randomly rebooting would like it fixed

Bell: did you

ME: yes, battery sawp, factory wipe, SD removal whole nine yards

Bell: we will send it in for you and will take a couple weeks

Me: what am I to do in the mean time without  a phone 

Bell: wait......

 

Bell store reps said that they only do service and that hardware is the hardware suppliers issue. The IT Manager here at work has an iPhone and had a non-related but similar in magnitude issue and Apple just swapped at the store right there... 

 

Going to ping Bell again but if I have to send a phone in for repair and I do ot have it for 2 weeks - this will not go well....

 

no reboot for 12 hours now....

I have a Hotmail and Shaw Webmail. No OWA, No Active Sync.

 

HUB has:

 

Hotmail

Shaw

Facebook

Linkedin

BBM

 

Work is not on it yet (they only support Droid and iCrap).... but I think I figured out how to get on....
