removing device password

[ Edited ]

I would like to be able to remove my device password which is greyed out in the setting menu. I am running my phone with 3 email accounts (gmail, hotmail and and microsoft exchange activesync) - with the latest update of the phone the device password got activated and i can't remove it. i have to reset and restore the phone to get it to deactivate which takes a lot of time since all my email accounts have to resync to the device.

Re: removing device password

Your employers IT Policy from the microsoft exchange activesync requires the password.

If the disable function is greyed out, it 's out of your control.

Re: removing device password

you cannot remove the password if your field is disabled ie., you are not given permission to remove the password
