That makes absolutely no sense.


I can confirm that the Z-10 has no problem talking to either POP or IMAP email servers.  It may, however, need the ports and encrpytion options set manually and if the server is using a self-signed or local-CA certificate it will garf on first connection and ask for your permission to proceed (since it cannot verify that the certificate is acceptable.)


Nonetheless it does work across all of these; I've verified it against WU-IMAP, POP3 and SMTP transmission both with STARTTLS and "bare" (unencrypted, which I do NOT recommend except on a local network that is secured by a firewall against outside connections.)  Something's wrong in your setup; it's not the phone.  Further, if K9 works then it HAS TO BE your setup as K9 does the same things that the embedded Z-10 email client does.
