Re: warranty

You bought the device second-hand off of "a woman"?

Not from an official retailer?

so let me get this right the phone has a warranty for 24 months with blackberry for the original buyer but when she decides to sell that phone regardless of when she bought it the warranty dies with her so if she has it two days doesn't like it sells it then theres no warranty. While blackberry  are going bust in the uk and have very little users and you thing this will help treating customers this way if the phone was built better this wouldnt have happened

well i think thats just wrong your saying the warranty is non transferable and thats just wrong whats the point in warranty then if i buy my son a blackberry for his birthday and it breaks hes screwed cause its in my name even though its his phone a birthday present what a joke and lets hope blackberry go bust bad customer service deserves nothing less long live samsung

Re: warranty

Whoa hoss, I didn't say anything, I only asked for clarification of what you stated.

"BlackBerry is going bust", yea. Largest sales of a single device in the UK last month. Ever.

You're making lots of assumptions. Perhaps when you paid a pile of money for the device you confirmed with the seller the warranty. Right?

yes I bought from a woman second hand and she told me it was fine and now won't refund me ebay don't seem to care and I will pay if I need to regardless of cost to get it fixed I don't have a choice if there's not warranty i'll take it to the same shop she bought it from and as for blackberry sales sky news reporting z10 a flop and the company facing difficult time and my point was if they don't transfer warranties with phones they wont last long my bad if I took you wrong

Re: warranty

Maybe she sold you a stolen phone? Call your carrier and ask for an imei check. If it comes back as stolen, be sure to report the fraudulent sale to ebay so you can get your money back! Smiley Happy

Re: warranty

If you were sold a faulty device with a broken PIN, you do have remedy through eBay.

I know it may not be easy, the remedy is there.

Likewise, you 'could' call Vodafone and explore a warranty return there. You don't have to volunteer the information about the pin and perhaps you can get an exchange.

Re: warranty

There was a student on the Vodafone UK support site a couple of weeks ago trying to return a phone with a broken pin in the sim holder, I don't know the outcome but i  wonder if they have put it through ebay instead, anyway eBay and PayPal would be the first places I would be looking for recourse as you got sold a broken product not Blackberry.

They certainly do have protection in place for these type things.
