z10 shows no life whatsoever

Hello,

So, after making a phone call and placing it on my table, the device no longer shows any signs of life. I cannot get it to turn on, even while plugged into the wall, and it doesn't detect in my computer either. I've removed the battery and re-inserted it after a few hours with no difference (I've also tried to run it from wall power without the battery, no dice either). Please help!

If their is no LED indication when you turn on, it maybe a defective unit.

Re: z10 shows no life whatsoever

If you LEAVE it connected to the wall charger and the remove and replace the battery, does it boot up, or show any LED activity?

Re: z10 shows no life whatsoever

No LED lights up when I plug it in or attempt to turn it on. How do I go about returning the unit? I've tried looking around the site but I see no information about returning defective units.

Thanks so much for your help.

Re: z10 shows no life whatsoever

Hello JSanders,

No, no life whatsoever for any/all of the above steps. The device also doesn't show any noticeable temperature change either (doesn't seem like there is any overheating going on).

OK. I'd go visit Rogers. Quickly.

Re: z10 shows no life whatsoever

Actually, I just realized that I got the device privately, so while I'm with Rogers currently, I did not get the device from them. Is there a way that I can submit the device directly to RIM/Blackberry? The device has never been opened (aside from me removing the battery) and was in mint condition when I purchased it.

Is it a Rogers branded device?
