Posted from Apple iPad at bottom of screen?

I have noticed that when I post from my Windows PC, an indicator appears at the bottom of the screen that says "Posted from Apple iPad". I am not posting from an iPad and I have also noticed that the IP address that was last visited also refers to an ipad. Anyone else experiencing this issue during the site upgrades?

That signature is automatically generated based on your browsers user agent. 

 

If you dont mind, can you go to http://www.whatsmyuseragent.com/ and paste the result? 

 

For example, I am using Mac OS X right now and the results from my browsers are; 

 

  • Firefox v31Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.9; rv:31.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/31.0
  • Chrome v35Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_9_4) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/35.0.1916.153 Safari/537.36
  • Safari v7.0.5Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_9_4) AppleWebKit/537.77.4 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/7.0.5 Safari/537.77.4

Lemme fire up my Windows laptop and test Smiley Happy

If you dont mind though visit http://www.whatsmyuseragent.com/ and post the result so we can see how your browser is identifying itself. You can set Internet Explorer to identify itself as a iPad using the developer tools.

To check, press F12 while using Internet Explorer and look for the user agent settings. (i'll put detailed steps shortly when I’m on my WIndows laptop)

To check your user agent, if you are using Internet Explorer 11, open it followed by pressing F12.

 

You'll see a dialog similar to the following and be able to review\change your user agent.
