Blackberry Email

Hey there,

Wondering if anyone can answer a question for me. On my old BlackBerry Bold I had an email address specifically for my phone but I see with the Z10 it isn't supported? Why is that and is this something that is going to change?

Looking forward to a reply!

Re: Blackberry Email

Those email accounts are no longer available on the new BlackBerry10 devices, as those email accounts used the old BIS BlackBerry Internet Service network which the Z10 does not.

You can forward for one year those emails.

Re: Blackberry Email

I dont see anywhere in that link that emails are forwarded for only one year. Where did you acquire that info?

Re: Blackberry Email

hello IslandPrinc3ss,

in JSanders' reply (message 2), the last line is clickable. If you click on it, you will see the article from the BlackBerry public knowledge base that states that 1 year period.

Re: Blackberry Email

I've just bought a brand new BB Passport silver edition and tried to configure a Yahoo mail but it didn't work. I tried all possible/typical ways of configuration but also didn't work. it keeps saying (Your email and contacts can't be added at this time. Please try again later) or (Your imap.mail.yahoo.com is not responding to your email. Please chech your settings and try again).

Note: I have enabled two-step-verification and generated app password accordingly, but it didn't work. Also, I have disabled it again and didn't work either.

Please advise. It's really urgent.

Thanks.

Re: Blackberry Email

Not what country, what store, which retailer?

Test your email account here with the BlackBerry Email Validation Tool:

https://consumersupport.webapps.blackberry.com/eavt/app.php?page=form

More details on the BEVT here:  http://support.blackberry.com/kb/articleDetail?articleNumber=000033444&language=English

If you bought from STC, then you need to call STC for technical assistance and ask them to escalate this case to BlackBerry technical support.
