BlackBerry Z10

The application does not allow the user to download any documents or files directly to the device/sdcard. This means that a person is unable to download a file to have offline access. Please allow an option to download and save the file to a destination offline.

Re: Dropbox

Hey VinniDeLaTorre,

Thanks for the feedback.

You can move or download any files from dropbox to your media card or device memory.  Press and hold your finger on the file for 3 seconds and you'll have options on the right, that include Copy, Move and select more.  Once you choose copy or move you can browse to the Media Card and press paste.

Let me know if you have any more questions.

Re: Dropbox

I would like to know if that is the solution, then what is the "Pin Dropbox" feature for?

Also, I believe many users would like to use their Dropbox in the way it is like on their computers - it seems silly to copy and paste files from Dropbox onto the device and then have to re-upload them back into Dropbox after editing, for example!

Re: Dropbox

[ Edited ]

I pinned my Podcasts folder under Dropbox and I'd like to have my media player play music from that folder. Navigating through the file system I found the pinned files are here:

But my problem is, many applications still can't see the files.

Perhaps it is an file access restriction. The built-in Music app finds them, but an app I am writing can't. And neither can "Music Player" (from blackberry world). "Bookmark music player" can add the files to a playlist if I do that but I want newer files to be found without me having to add them and it doesn't work that way.

For example, the code that works fine for finding files on my SD card using QDirIterator doesn't return any results when I give it a location under /accounts/1000/shared/Dropbox.

I think this might be a bug in the Qt's QDirIterator, or a file permissions issue, but i am unable to debug at the moment because my debugger is not working.
