To reset your password you have to answer the security question. If the security question is forgotten no other way but to create a new one. You are being asked for the security question because you fail to verify your BlackBerry ID when you created it,usually when it was verified successfully when you try to reset your password a link will be directly sent to your email.
This is not true. Just go to BBID on your computer and click on the Reset password link. Super easy. Then go in and edit the security question.

Yes you are right the step that you are saying is correct but that step is applicable for user's who was able to verify their BlackBerry ID upon creating it, If you can remember when you will create a BlackBerry ID a verification message will be sent to your email. right? after clicking the link you will be able to verify your BBID. In this case the user fail to do that that's why BBID.com is asking for the security question.

The OP posted a vague question. I attempted to ask for more information but others jumped in and assumed the OP would have to reset their account.
If you attempt to reset your password directly on the device you are required to enter security question answers because it is assumed that someone who may be attempting to reset someone's password on their device unbeknownst to the user would receive that reset email on the device. When it's reset from a computer that assumption is not made.
For example, I am able to reset my password on a computer without answering my security question. However, if I attempt to do it from my device I must enter my security question answer. I may be able to get beyond that as suggested by fuzzymonkey but I haven't personally tried it. BBID.com on a computer is the easiest way.

Were you able to get it reset at BBID.com from your computer?

Well I am so sorry but the customer clearly states that its a forgotte BlackBerry ID security question.
anyways carry on.
Right. They said nothing about anything else. If you try to reset the password from the device it appears as though you MUST know your security question answer when it is completely possible to reset the password without it.

I'm fully aware of that KB. Again, the user didn't elaborate on any of that. If the BBID is verified then he CAN reset without the security answers. Also, if it's verified and the user resets the password from the device it will ask for the answer.
To say that he will need to reset the account MIGHT be true but we didn't know. That's why I asked and provided a method that didn't require resetting the entire account. If the OP comes back and states it still asks for the security answers we will know. We don't start with drastic solutions before suggesting easy solutions that don't result in lost data.
