stuck with deleted bought application

I've bought an app (gNewsReader).

Then I deleted it (just because I wanted to reinstall it).

However after deletion it is lost forever -- the only option in BBWorld for that app is "Open" button but nothing happens when it is pressed.

Re: stuck with deleted bought application

Hi and Welcome to the Community!

I suggest that you clear the AppWorld application cache.

For BB10 devices:

  • KB33818Downloaded applications in BlackBerry World are stuck in an Installing state and cannot be cancelled or removed from the download list

Hopefully it'll work for you! Good luck and let us know!

Re: stuck with deleted bought application

Thanks, that worked.

But now when I want to install it I am asked to pay again.

Should I request refund and pay again?

That seems not very straightforward -- to say the least.

Re: stuck with deleted bought application

Hmmm...odd...of course, I myself have yet to experience your situation...clear cache always worked well on legacy BBOS, but I'm not quite sure how well it works with BB10.

Your approach could work, I suppose...I am quite surprised that the record of payment is lost, though. Very odd.

You might want to contact your mobile service provider for formal support and formal escalation to BlackBerry on this matter.

Good luck!

Re: stuck with deleted bought application

after resetting cache second time today it started to work fine: this app appeared with "download" link instead of payment link.
