Re: 909 Application authentication failure

Hi there

I have the same problem when getting the midlet application over the air.

I read from the manual "

If you do not have the carrier signing certificate installed you will get the following error:

909 Application Authentication Failure Error."

have you guys tried to get a carrier key and use it to sign you jar?

I tried several things:

I have 2 versions of the applications, one is thawte signed and the other is unsigned.

1. When using the JDE to create the cod file from the jar/jad, the emulator gives warnings

Warning!: No entry points found

Warning!: MIDlet class is not public: xxxxxx

Warning!: No definition found

Packaging project blackTest succeeded (took 9.597 seconds)

the app appears on the simulator and says

Exit blackTest(189)

Detected background switch for blackTest(189) who has NO tunnels open - defocus NOT called

(note that this jar/jad is working fine on nokia phone)

2. When using the JDE and from the source, I can edit the main midlet class and I put all the methods in public

it actually works better because I dont have the warnings.

still I have the No tunnels open and the application doesnt lauch...

any ideas?

I am trying to get that working and feel a bit desperate Smiley Sad
