Accelerometer all over the place =/

Well I have an app that polls the accelerometer data and then I have it alert the screen using a dialog box. I would swipe the phone 10 times and come up with 10 totally different results. Is there way to make the results more predictiable. I mean the x would be 650 and then 100 and in some cases even more servere then that.

Re: Accelerometer all over the place =/

What do you mean by swipe the phone 10 times? The accelerometer reads how the phone is being held... here is an example of an application using it: http://software.crackberry.com/product.asp?id=24716&n=Storm-Level-Pro-%28BlackBerry-Storm-Only%29

Sorry if you knew that, but by saying "swipe" I thought you meant you moved your finger across the screen...
