|How are you doing? I need an information regarding access to native SMS folders like Inbox, Drafts etc on a Blackberry device. Is there any way we can do it or there are no API’s as such.|
Waiting for your reply.
This is not supported on BlackBerry. You can capture messages as they arrive, but can not access SMS messages stored on the BlackBerry.

The Invoke class can be use to launch the Messages applications to compose an SMS message.
Applications are able to capture SMS messages as they arrive. You are able to display incoming SMS messages.

The Invoke class can create new messages - SMS, MMS, Email, etc..
In one of the MessageArguments constructor, it can take in a folder. I would like to ask is it possible to take in a SMS Draft folder?
public MessageArguments(Folder folder)
folder - The folder you would like to see in the message application.

I also wanna access the SMS Inbox folder and take the meassage and then analysis that message(sender's ph number, message and sender's date). How can I programmatically access or open the SMS Inbox. I used the Folder from net.rim.blackberry.api.mail and retrieve the Folder name. So , i only saw the folder name as Inbox, Outbox, Saved Messages, Unfiled Messages, Filed Messages and draft, I didn't see the SMS Inbox. How can I access SMS Inbox and take the message?
Thank you to every body

Are you planning to add in the future to API's SMS support? I mean that BlackBerry handhelds are able to read SMS messages, so I wonder, were is the problem, to give other developers access to the store were all SMS messages are store, like it is possible with e-mails?
