Add MenuItem to Camera Application

Hi,

I would like to add a menu item to the native camera application. I saw from the Application Developer Guide that  extending ApplicationMenuItem can add menu item to exsisting applications. Which field of ApplicationMenuItemRepository should i be using to add a menu to the native camera application. Am using JDE 4.3 and trying to upload picture captured in camera to flickr.

Pls help.

thanks

krishnan

Re: Add MenuItem to Camera Application

The BlackBerry API set does not currently support adding an ApplicationMenutItem into the camera application.

You can invoke the camera application from your own application using the Invoke method.  You can also listen for when a user takes and saves a picture.  The fileexplorerdemo included with the BlackBerry JDE shows an example on how this can be done.

Re: Add MenuItem to Camera Application

For Facebook and Flicker RIM might have exposed those API's.

Use Search. "Accept Solution" If the problem is resolved.

Re: Add MenuItem to Camera Application

The Facebook and Flicker applications were created by RIM.  There is no special partnerships that allow access to additional BlackBerry APIs.
