So I added a PNG image to my main startup project, selected its properties and checked the "Use as Application Icon" option.
I then rebuilt the entire solution and launched the application through the Blackberry JDE using the 8800-JDE simulator - and my icon does not appear on the simulator's desktop. Instead I get the default black screen icon and I am not sure what I am doing incorrectly.
I have loaded other applications through the JDE and their icons have appeared and I cannot see what is different with this project...
Any ideas? Thanks!

try doing this.
1. First load your workspace ( .jdw file ) in JDE
2. In left side pane of JDE you will see the workspace with all your project files, Right click on your project file ( .jdp file ) and
then click on properties.
3. Now in Properties Click on "Resource" Tab, there you can see Icon files textbox with add, delete, edit buttons next to it.
4. Click on Add to load your application icon file and then press ok
and always maintain all images/icon files related to your application in a same workspace.

I am using 4.1.2 for backwards compatability reasons and my Resources tab does not contain an icons option - just Title Resource Available and then Resource Bundle, Title Id and Description Id grayed out dropdown lists.
