Application to application communication

Hello Everyone,

I would like to have an application that will be able to communicate with another application on a different device without user input. Basically i will have my application installed on two seperate devices, then an alert is send from the one device to the other notifying them of an alert. The sending of this alert must be done without user input. Is this at all possible ?

I have look into using the BBM as a means to achive this but i have not been able to do it.

Thank in advance.

BBM is your best bet.

Re: Application to application communication

RexDoug Thank you for your reply, I have looked into BBM. I am not able to figure out how this can be achieved though. Could you possible explain how i can achieve the following scenario: I have an application that checks for missed calls on one device, once a missed call has been 'caught' i then send an alert to the application that is on another device. This process will have thresholds set by the users and once those settings are set all the work will have to be done without any further input from the user. I would really appreciate some guidance from you on this matter. Thanks in advance.

Re: Application to application communication

check the tic tac toe example.

you can use other message types of course, email for example, but BBM should be the fastest.

Simon, Are you referring to the Tic Tac Toe sample that comes with the BBM SDK ?
