Application with UltraliteJ

Hello all, I have developed an application in JDE with the help of UltraliteJ.

I store the required data in the device with the help of ultralitej.cod file. and then I sync all the data with server where DSN for the DB exist.

To work with all these I use the MDS simulator...which give me the connectivity between the mobilink and the device simulator.

I have tested the application it works fine with simulator...now if I want to move the application on actual device what all the things I need on the device or on the server?

Do I need BES, MDS device...or any other stuff?

I am not really sure what all is necessary...so please guide me what to do.

Re: Application with UltraliteJ

Are you connected to any corporate BES or you just using your BB under the operator. If you are able to use the internet on your device, you should be able to test the DB Sync using your UltraliteJ DB.

Re: Application with UltraliteJ

No the thing is that I am not really sure about BES. Meaning do I need to get the licenced copy or the operator provides it.

But if it work with the internet on the blackberry device...then I dont need to think about BES.. I guess?

Have you tested your application on device?

Re: Application with UltraliteJ

Thanks for your patience for listening me.

I haven't yet tested it on the device. I am waiting for the code signatures.

But I was going through some of the posts...I stuck at BES. So I thought BES is necessary for me.

I really need to test it on device...I will get back to you again.

Thanks.

Re: Application with UltraliteJ

Ideployed it successfully on the BB device 8700.

I am trying to deploy it with the JDE. As is said earlierI am using the UltraliteJ to Sync the data. When I request for synchronize it is giving me the exception as,

"java.lang.RuntimeException: blocking operation not permitted on event dispatch thread".

can you please tell me what is this realted to

Re: Application with UltraliteJ

Take out your Network connection part from the even thread. Use your own thread.
