I am trying to implement a real time audio player. It is based on PCM.
The problem I experience is that every now and then a 'bufferingStarted' event is fired and the player wants to buffer some data. After that delay is even more increased.
As I said I would like to have as closely to a real time player but with continuous playback which is not effected by these buffering events. Does anyone now how to reduce the frequency of these buffering events? Any clues?
P.S. Almost forgot, this happens on 5.0 OS.

This is going to be dependent on the network and the speed at which that file can be streamed.
You could prevent buffering events would be to download the entire file to the micro SD card and play it back locally.
You could also implement your own DataSource. Please refer to the following.
