BBM SDK simulator issue

Hello,

I'm facing an issue with the BBM SDK 1.0beta.

I followed the Getting Started Guide to install it.

The MDS simulator is running fine.

The 6.0.0.313 simulator is running fine too.

I've imported net_rim_bb_qm_platform.jar in my jde workspace.

Point 3.8 says I need to use the simulator profile 9800-6.0.0.313 to compile my project, but I can't find it in the simulator profile drop down list.

What I am doing wrong ? Can you help please ?

Thanks

Laurent

Re: BBM SDK simulator issue

I run the simulator and load the COD file of my app into it after packaging.  I don't think running the the app from Eclipse in the simulator works yet.

Re: BBM SDK simulator issue

OK thank you I'll try this way : build then load the cod file in the simulator.

Re: BBM SDK simulator issue

It's ok when I load the app into the simulator, I can see it, launch it but when the app is trying to set the personnal bbm message, I got an error :

App error 104

Uncaught:ControlledAccess ExceptionScroll for available comands.

Continue

I think it's a signing problem but there's a signature I can't get for my app in the signing tool :

RIMAPPSA2

Anyone could help ?

Re: BBM SDK simulator issue

Get the latest BBM SDK, the signing issue is fixed

Re: BBM SDK simulator issue

After installing the latest version of the bbm jdk, I have an other error 104

Uncaught : NoClassDefFoundError

In my app I just want to update the personal bbm message. Do I need to run the 2 simulators ? Because I'm running only one...

Re: BBM SDK simulator issue

I think I'm doing something wrong during the installation of the bbm sdk.

I've installed :

BB JDE 6 in c:\rim\BlackBerry JDE 6.0.0

BBM SDK in c:\rim\BBM SDK Beta 4 Refresh

Where do I install the BlackBerry_Simulators_6.0.0.313_9800 ?

I've tried the default c:\program files\... and c:\rim but I can't find the  9800-6.0.0.31 in the BB JDE top right drop down list like mentionned in the Getting Started guide chapter 3.

I'm a bit confused.

Anyway, I still got  an RIMAPPSA2 not registered line in the BB signature tool...

Please help.

Re: BBM SDK simulator issue

If I copy the SimPackage-6.0.0.313_9800.rc from the folder where I installed the simulator in the JDE\bin folder, I can select it in the drop down list of the JDE...  and attach my app to the simulator...

Now my app app is crashing in the simulator ! Cool ;o)
