Re: BBM Sample Verifying

Have you gone through all of the steps in the getting started guide? http://docs.blackberry.com/en/developers/deliverables/25813/Configuring_your_system_for_BBM_support_...

Re: BBM Sample Verifying

Hi Sohm,

I would like to ask you one question because I can't verify the BBM SDK demo. I followed all the steps and everything is set up. I even modified the rimpublic.property to make MDS works behind my proxy. I can use BBM in both simulators and they chat with each other. My java version is 1.6.0_29. I saw in the example 1.6.0_24. This means that I have to install that version? I mean, is this a java version problem?

Thank you very much indeed

Re: BBM Sample Verifying

I think that if you have Java 1.6.0_20 or later it should work fine.  What is not working for you?

Re: BBM Sample Verifying

Hi peter and thanks for answering,

I can't verify any BBM connected app. It's always stuck in step 2 when it tries to verify the app. I don't know if it's the UUID(which I generated using a web site) or their servers. I can use BBM in both simulators and I can also browse the web. I get the message "There is insufficient network coverage to proceed with BBM connection. Please try again later."

Re: BBM Sample Verifying

Are you using the MDS that comes with the SDK?

Re: BBM Sample Verifying

Apologies, I was being stupid.

In my testing, I find that typically one of the SImulators will get stuck on the Verifying for what seems like 5 minutes, while the other one whizzes through.

Other than that, not very helpful comment, sorry I don't think I can help.
