BBM broadcastdata size limit

Hi,

BBMPlatformSession.broadcastData(BBMPlatformData data) throws :

DataOverflowException - if the rate of data sent by the application exceeds that which the BBM Platform allows.

Could someone tell me what is the BBM Platform limits ?

I would like to share images between bbm contacts in a session. data can be a byte[], so I can convert my image to byte[] but I'm not sure I can transfer the amount of data...

Thanks a lot,

Laurent

Re: BBM broadcastdata size limit

There is a limit of 60k per API call. BBM 6.0 allows you to send 100k/min.

Re: BBM broadcastdata size limit

Thanks Mark. So is it possible to send images through broadcastdata? What if the image size is 2 Mo or more?

Re: BBM broadcastdata size limit

You can send any type of data you like.  The only restriction is the rate at which you can send data (100k/min), which would make it less than ideal for sending larger images.
