Sorry - this is a little bit off-topic, but this is exactly the group of people we need to reach.
I'd like to announce BerryStore, an on-device app store for BlackBerry devices. BerryStore brings the iPhone App Store experience to BlackBerry smartphones - it's a full-fledged app that lets users browse, download, rate and review applications. Even installing and uninstalling apps is done without leaving BerryStore - it's a truly seamless experience.
We're reaching out to this community because we want to see all of your apps on the BerryStore, and we'd like to help you get them there. We've spent a bit of time working on a system that hopefully makes it easier than usual to deploy a BlackBerry application. As a developer, you build an "appcast" which is just an XML file that describes your app's listing and the JAD/COD files that make up your app. It handles device fragmentation really well, too. You can define rules that divert specific builds to specific phones based on phone model, carrier, or OS version.
We hope you'll check it out and get started listing your app. We currently only list free applications or demos & trials that manage their own expirations. We'll do paid apps soon, though.
And, if you're going to be at the developer conference next week, make sure you look for us! We'll be there helping as many developers as possible get started with the BerryStore.
