BlackBerry API equivalent to Android's Toast?

Hi,

This question might be redundant to some other posts. But I wanna make the requirement clear and crisp here. So, creating a new thread. I hope everyone of us know the behaviour of Toast message in android. I need similar one in my BlackBerry App. Not much functionality. Need not take all the parameters. Just an hardcoded short interval of time, the message has to be shown on the screen. Even if the UI stalls for that particular period, it's fine. But the message should not expect user's interaction to get it closed as in Blackberry's Dialog.alert().

So, can anyone help me out here? is there any API available already? Or Should I implement on my own? If so, can anyone guide me the direction?

Thanks,

Karthik

Re: BlackBerry API equivalent to Android's Toast?

http://www.blackberry.com/developers/docs/7.1.0api/net/rim/device/api/ui/component/Status.html#show(...
shows a message for 2 seconds.

you could create something more flexible by using popupscreen and a timertask.
