BlackBerry JDE fails to respond when using the Objects view

by Retired ‎02-16-2010 11:17 AM - edited ‎02-17-2010 12:12 PM (1,702 Views)

This article applies to the following:

  • BlackBerry® Java® Development Environment (BlackBerry JDE)

The BlackBerry JDE fails to respond when activating the Objects view from the View menu.

This problem is caused when a large number of objects are created and the Objects view is opened using the View menu. This causes a failure to respond within the BlackBerry JDE due to lack of heap space when trying to create the Object's view.

Navigate to the BlackBerry JDE installation directory. Under the bin directory, open the ide.bat file for editing and change Xmx parameter: -Xmx256M to -Xmx1024M.

Note: For these changes to take effect, restart the BlackBerry JDE.
