BlackBerry JDE vs Eclipse plugin

Hi All,

Is it possible that a BlackBerry application created and running successfully on JDE 4.5 may not run in Eclipse plugin?

Here are the details:

I have created an application using JDE 4.5 and it runs fine. When I use the same code in Eclipse plugin, it builds successfully but while running the application, it gives me null pointer exception!

Has anyone faced such issue or anyone knows the solution? It will be a great help.

Thanks,

- Rohan

Re: BlackBerry JDE vs Eclipse plugin

Hi Simon,

Thanks for the prompt reply!

I got an exception as soon as I click on the application icon.

Re: BlackBerry JDE vs Eclipse plugin

set a breakpoint into the first line of your main method, is it reached?

Do you have a stack trace?  Look in the log for it.

Re: BlackBerry JDE vs Eclipse plugin

it seems your main method is executed, after all, as your alternate entry point is called. do you use applicationmenuitems?

Re: BlackBerry JDE vs Eclipse plugin

I use net.rim.device.api.ui.MenuItem in my MainScreen.
