I dnt know about blackberry maps. But i have tried to do that using google maps API's
1) make request to google API using browser field to display a location.
2)Write a java script function to set Listener to marker. On which you can call a ScriptableFunction in Java application.
But the drawback is , it takes long time to load map in browser field on actual device.
