BlackBerry MapField Object often display blank(grid view) on first use on handset

Hi,

My application uses BlackBerry MapField object. When user starts to use my application with GPS turned on, mapview is usually blank. It takes a long while to load the map information. ( I leveraged on the blackberry map view example shipped with JDE 5.0 ).

User is always displayed a grid view whenever he or she arrives at a new destination.

Is there anyway to speed this up. As I noticed that BlackBerry Default Map Application could accelerate the map  display refresh process for a new location

Earnestly

Roger
