Re: BlackBerry interpreting data from Bluetooth device?

Do you have a PC available with a Bluetooth serial port device?  If so, I recommend to try testing your application with it and send the same data.  This can help to separate an application issue versus and issue with the BlackBerry handheld communicating with the specific piece of Bluetooth hardware you are testing with.

Re: BlackBerry interpreting data from Bluetooth device?

Hi Mark,

Yes, we did this very experiment a couple of days ago.  Running HyperTerminal on a PC, we were able to send and receive data to/from the application on the BlackBerry over a Bluetooth Serial Port Profile connection with no problem or error messages in the log.

Unlike our device, the PC does not advertise or implement the Bluetooth Hands-Free or Headset profiles, and it's now pretty certain that that is the deciding factor in the BlackBerry's inability to communicate with our device.
